Why he chose Leo:
We are in another “industrial revolution” like that addressed by Leo XIII, of technology, and must think of how it may challenge “human dignity, justice, and labor” (Pope Leo XIV, 2025)
His vision of the church:
—Church’s primary mission is to proclaim Christ
—That all Christians convert to a missionary spirit
—A church with a collegial and synodal spirit: There
is a hierarchy, but God works through all of us
—“Attention to the sensus fidei,” how God
is working in all of us
—“Loving care for the least and rejected”
—“Courageous and trusting
interactions with the modern world”
and all its realities
